Poppy is a true sweetheart, with the most gentle and loving nature. She is a quiet kitty and while she can be a little reserved, she loves having a good smooch once she has gotten to know you.

Poppy likes to sit back and observe what is going on around her. Once she has built her confidence, she loves to talk. She will happily chirp away and likes to voice any concerns that she may have. Once she gets going, she has the cutest, most adorable meow, and you can’t help but cave in and give her anything that her heart desires.

Poppy enjoys a good play and plastic balls with a bell inside are an absolute must have. She especially likes to carry her ball around the house in her mouth. Playing in the tunnels and feathers are also favourites. She loves feathers – on sticks, on balls, on their own, she is really not fussy!

Poppy has access to an enclosed area in her foster home and she loves the catio. She is very content laying on the ledges in the sun, birdie watching, and laying in wait in the big tunnel – just in time for someone to walk past and be jump scared! She also greatly enjoys pretending that she is coming over for a scratch, but at the last second will run, chirping as she goes. Her carer is positive that her chirps are Poppy laughing at her!

Poppy is very cat social, though she will initially sit back, until she is confident in the situation. She would do best with an existing kitty to move in with. She is very clean and tidy and she loves her food. Vegemite on toast is one of her absolute favourites, and push up treats are always most welcome!

Poppy’s ideal home would be a quiet one, with not too much going on. She would do best in an adult only home, or one with older children – who understand that she would need time, patience and love, to help her settle.

Adoption fee $200 which includes Poppy’s sterilisation, microchipping, up-to-date vaccination and flea/worm treatment.
